Clinical Quandaries

5 week series: March 22nd, April 5th, April 19th, May 3rd, May 17th

Wednesdays, 10am-12pm Mountain Time

Pre-Requisites: BSP Phase 1

In this 5-week education series, we will explore the clinical and emotional aspects of a different medical topic each week. We will utilize didactic education and the Brainspotting lens to focus on providing support for you and your clinical practice through increased knowledge and skills around these issues. This series is limited to 20 attendees.

The first five topics are:

1. Fibromyalgia (March 22nd)

2. Spinal disc issues (April 5th)

3. Cancer diagnosis (April 19th)

4. Tinnitus (May 3rd)

5. Pre- and post- surgery issues (May 17th)

Meet Your Presenters

SERENE RENE’ CALKINS, P.T. is the Owner of Art and Science Physical Therapy and Vice President of Rocky Mountain Brainspotting Institute. She is a Physical Therapist, Certified Brainspotting Therapist and Consultant, CranioSacral Therapist, and Pilates Rehabilitation Practitioner. Serene was also Co-Coordinator of the 2021 International Brainspotting Conference (with David Grand, Ph.D.)

MARY JANE O’ROURKE, LCSW is a Brainspotting Consultant, who finds great joy in supporting therapists around Brainspotting, clinical practice and Issues related to burnout. Mary Jane  has over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist, and 16 years as a social worker. In her clinical practice, Mary Jane works with adults dealing with trauma, illness, grief and bereavement, and life transitions.
